I was on my way to DownEast Maine and stopped by to pick up some Asian groceries. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide selection. Very friendly staff and they were very helpful to find things I needed. I'll be stopping by again on my next trip up.

Veranda has everything you'd want in an Asian market, including parking! I visited looking for ingredients for boba tea and found everything except the straws. Unfortunately the straw is an integral part of boba tea. I was surprised to see durian in the freezer in the back as well as skate wing. I LOVE skate wing but they were selling the whole fish... I am not prepared to manage an entire skate , skin and all. If you are not aware a skate is a type of ray, like a manta ray. Staff was friendly! Produce looked fresher than other stores nearby.

Almost anything that you want Asian related, this place has! This is the sort of place my mother would have an absolute field day going up and down the aisles, picking out items for a Vietnamese feast. Me? I am pleasantly surprised with a selection of goods that would otherwise be very obscure items and only available through internet ordering. They have more than enough bottled and canned and packaged items that, quite frankly, would take an entire day to look through and select, unless you know what you need. This place had a very specific Thai spice that I wanted, a specific brand of coconut milk, a type of curry paste I like. It really is a heaven for those unAmericanized items you find in the "International" section at Shaw's. Lots of fresh and frozen stuff too. Asian vegetables and 'weird' seafood that you wouldn't find at an American supermarket. Minus one star because prices are often not listed on the items in the store. I figure it's a bit of a hassle to go through to label every item but the good thing is when you ring your stuff up there's a display that shows the prices. It's not a scheme to cheat you.. prices are pretty good. And though I am totally stoked they have Kewpie mayonnaise, they haven't had stock of the cute little squeeze bottles. The lady assured me that they ordered some but had no ETA on their arrival. Definitely is now my place for all Asian goods.
